Esko Eskelinen

Esko Eskelinen (1933 - 1995) was a photographer from North Karelia, who in the 1950s and 1960s was active in his home province.

Eskelinen recorded the daily life of ordinary people. In order to create real feeling in his pictures, he lived together with foresters in their barracks. As a devoted photojournalist he photographed the joys and sorrows of everyday life with sympathy and understanding and often his pictures were shot through with
humor. Many of his pictures were published in the newspapers of Helsinki.
